EAS
TO RUN RFID REGISTRATION AT PISEC 2003
Event
Advantage Solutions have partnered with Tarsus Group plc to run RFID Registration
for PISEC 03, the leading international conference and exhibition for
the brand protection, product authentication and document security industries
taking place in Prague, Czech Republic, on October 20-22.
In an exciting new addition to PISEC this year, Day Three of the conference
will deal with RFID tracking, authentication and tracing. RFID tracking
consists of radio-based chip technology embedded in each badge and RFID
reading gates positioned at selected entrances and exits. The gates detect
the chip inside the badge when each visitor enters or exits a room and
relay that information to the main database. Real-Time reporting is available
to the organiser at the event, detailing exactly which delegates are in
each of the conference sessions. The data gathered is later used to identify
which conference sessions were popular for which kinds of delegates as
well as average time spent in each of the tracked areas.
Robert Morley, Technical Director for EAS, said, This
is a great opportunity for EAS to showcase RFID to conference delegates
at PISEC who are truly interested in seeing the technology in action.
Peder Berg, Director of Business Development for EAS said, The
entire EAS approach to registration is geared toward maximising clients
revenues and increasing brand awareness through intelligent, technology
driven solutions. The implementation of RFID technology into a show such
as PISEC increases the organisers understanding of their delegates and
in turn, allows them to better market to them in the future thats
what running lasting and successful events is all about.
Jeremy Plimmer, PISEC Chairman and Secretary General of The Product
and Image Security Foundation, said, We are delighted that EAS
will be running RFID registration at PISEC this year. The advances in,
and importance of, RFID and electronic tagging have increased dramatically
over the last few years. Showing RFID working at PISEC will bring the
technology to life.
During the last four events PISEC has become the established convention
attended by all those that are associated with the wider echelons of security
printing, packaging and supply chain management. The event has built this
justified reputation as the premier conference in its field by providing
informative programs that offer first hand advice and technology transfer
opportunities for attendees from around the globe.
The evnt has become a showcase for new technology and many visit the convention
to make further alliances and source innovative solutions on behalf of
their customers. With some 40 planned specialist papers spanning a wide
field of initiatives PISEC continues to offer speakers, delegates amd
exhibitors a chance to network and explore new ideas that can be used
over the coming year.
Prague is a fitting venue for PISEC because of its historical links and
as a future member of the EU the Czech Republic provides an ideal location
for PISEC 03.
