Michael is a highly experienced consultant acknowledged as a leading expert in the international labels and labelling sector. He has researched and written market and technology studies on all aspects of the label industry. In addition to multi-client reports, work has also been undertaken for individual clients and other organisations including the Economist Intelligence Unit, Frost & Sullivan and PIRA International. He is a renowned speaker on the international conference circuit having spoken at over 350 conferences. He organises and chairs regular market strategy workshops for companies world wide. He has also been the author of books on printing and labelling related subjects for the National Graphic Association and Pergammon Press, contributing author to the Encyclopaedia of Packaging Technology and Encyclopaedia of Occupational Health & Safety, and is currently working on a new Encyclopaedia for the Label industry. BevanSenior Research Manager- Labels & Labelling Consultancy Services James Bevan joined the Labels and Labelling Consultancy in January 1998. Responsibilities include coordination of the research, writing and marketing of the research, writing and marketing of consultancy reports. Prior to joining the Labels and Labelling Consultancy, James had started with the Metal Box Company as an engineering graduate in 1974 and held several positions over seven years with the Company. Then after completing a business degree in France, he was recruited by the Battelle Institute in Geneva to work on international market and technology studies primarily in the packaging and related sectors. After four years with Battelle, he set up as an independent consultant specialising in packaging and related subjects. He carried out work for a number of major companies in food processing, tobacco and other sectors. An additional activity involved marketing specialised logistics software to producers of branded FMCG products. In the years running up to joining Labels & Labelling Consultancy, he had completed a major three year assignment with Energizer/Ever Ready Batteries (Ralston Energy SA) in Geneva, which involved creating and implementing a new position of Packaging Manager Europe, within the company.
