The Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China (PEIAC) was founded in Beijing on December 28, 1985.

PEIAC is a nationwide trade association as well as a social economic organization, representing the industries of printing, converting, equipment manufacturing and material producing, comprising of various enterprises engaging in printing, printing equipment manufacturing, printing material producing, selling, distribution, research, education, consultation and technical services.

PEIAC has 1200 company members and is supported by a Secretariat; 3 specialized committees: Book and Periodical Printing Committee, Newspaper Printing Committee, Package and Decoration Printing Committee; 5 Sub-associations: Printing Equipment Sub-association, Printing Material Sub-association, Screen Printing Sub-association, Electronic Publication Sub-association and Quick Printing Sub-association.

Under the leadership of the State Economic and Trade Commission, the Ministry of Information Industry, the Press and Publication Administration, PEIAC coordinates the development of the printing and printing equipment industries in China.

The purpose of PEIAC is to serve its members,to serve the printing equipment industries,and to promote their developments.
